1. Introduction

Tradelo ("we", "our", "us") takes the protection of your personal information very seriously. This policy describes what information we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights.

Tradelo complies with Quebec's Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information) as well as Canada's federal PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).

2. Personal Information Officer

Pursuant to Section 3.1 of Law 25, Tradelo formally designates as personal information officer: Tradelo Management, reachable at: hello@tradelo.app. Any question, complaint or rights-exercise request must be directed to this address. We respond within a maximum delay of 30 days.

3. Information collected

We collect the following information:

a) At time of purchase

• Email address (to send your access link)
• Full name (required for compliant invoicing)
• Billing address (collected by Stripe for Canadian tax compliance)
• Payment information (processed by Stripe, never stored by Tradelo)

b) Automatically while browsing

• IP address
• Browser type and operating system
• Pages visited, session duration (via Vercel Analytics, anonymized)

Tradelo uses no third-party tracking cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.). The only cookies used are essential to the site's operation (technical session).

4. Purposes of use

Your information is used solely to:

• Deliver the course you purchased (sending the access link by email)
• Comply with our legal obligations (invoicing, tax filings where applicable)
• Contact you regarding course updates, technical support or refund questions
• Improve the service via aggregated analytics (anonymized, no individual tracking)

We never use your information to:

• Sell or rent to third parties
• Bombard you with unsolicited marketing emails
• Train artificial intelligence models

5. Sharing with third parties

Your information is only shared with service providers necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe (payment) — privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
• Vercel (hosting) — privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
• Email service (delivery of access link and notifications) — details provided on request

These providers are located primarily in the United States. By using Tradelo, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions.

6. Retention period

Your information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service:

• Email and access credentials: indefinitely, as long as you want to keep access to your course (since access is for life)
• Billing data: 7 years, per Canadian tax obligations
• Browsing analytics: 13 months maximum, anonymized

You can request deletion of your information at any time (see section 8).

7. Security

Tradelo implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• HTTPS encryption across the entire site
• No credit card data stored by Tradelo (Stripe handles 100% of payment)
• Email access restricted to the strict minimum
• Regular encrypted backups

No system is perfectly secure. In case of a privacy incident affecting your information, Tradelo will notify you within the timeframes prescribed by Law 25.

8. Your rights

Under Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: you can request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: you can request correction of inaccurate information.
• Right to deletion (right to be forgotten): you can request deletion of your information (subject to our legal obligations of accounting retention).
• Right to portability: you can receive your information in a structured, transferable format.
• Right to withdraw consent: at any time.
• Right to complain: with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@tradelo.app specifying the nature of your request. We respond within a maximum delay of 30 days.

9. Minors

Tradelo is not intended for persons under 18. Futures trading involves substantial risk and is generally reserved for adults with the required financial and legal capacity. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Policy changes

Tradelo may modify this policy. Substantial changes will be notified by email to users with an account. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
