2. Significant trading risks

Trading futures, stocks, options, currencies, cryptocurrencies and any other financial instrument involves substantial risk of loss. You may lose all of the capital invested, or more (in the case of leveraged instruments such as futures).

Specifically:

Futures involve leverage that can rapidly amplify losses.
Prop firm accounts have their own rules (maximum drawdown, daily loss limits, consistency rules) whose violation results in immediate loss of the account and challenge fees paid.
Automation does not reduce market risk; it simply executes a strategy without emotion. If the strategy is unprofitable, automation will simply make it unprofitable faster and more consistently.

3. No guarantee of results

Past performance presented in our content (backtests, examples, concrete cases) does not guarantee future results in any way. Simulation results may diverge significantly from actual trading results due to factors including, without limitation: slippage, real fees, changing market conditions, liquidity, execution.

Tradelo guarantees no returns, no profits, no success on prop firm challenges, and no positive outcome of any kind. The majority of traders lose money.

4. Specific disclaimer on hypothetical performance (CFTC Rule 4.41)

This disclaimer is required by the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for any content presenting hypothetical or simulated trading results (backtests, optimizations, projections). Tradelo course modules — particularly those covering automation and strategy validation — present such results for educational purposes. You acknowledge and accept the following:

HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN INHERENT LIMITATIONS. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. 6. No association with third-party tools

Tradelo is not affiliated, sponsored, partnered or otherwise associated with: Anthropic (Claude), TradingView, TradersPost, Tradovate, Databento, or any prop firms, brokers, tools or data providers that may be referenced in our content. All names and trademarks cited are the property of their respective owners.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tradelo, its officers, employees and collaborators shall in no case be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or other losses resulting from use of the content, including, without limitation: trading losses, lost challenge fees, missed opportunities, reputational damages.

9. Jurisdiction

This disclaimer is governed by the laws in force in the province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of the district of Montreal.
